10.30 am - Jonathan Wooldridge will be leading and Guy Partridge will be speaking. This service will also include the graduation of some of the children to new groups and the commissioning of discipleship group leaders.

5.00 pm - Blackboys Meeting led by Suzanne Hammond.

6.30 pm - Prayer Meeting led by Malcolm Love and we will be praying for our SAS, GAP and Take Off groups and their leaders.

Discipleship groups re-launch and social evening including supper.
Tuesday 11th September, 7.30 pm here at the church.
The purpose of this evening is to raise the profile of the discipleship groups and
increase the number of people who currently attend. It will also provide an
opportunity for those already in a group to change groups if they wish.
This evening is open to everyone whether you belong to a discipleship group or not and will include a two course meal.

Cedars
Thursday 13th September, 2.00 pm here at the church. Please join us for an afternoon of Reflections with Anne Proctor (Physiotherapist).  Giving us sound advise!

Also
There will a special visit of Shelagh Squires (formerly of the English National Opera) with her unique brand of music and monologues. We will also be having our ever popular afternoon tea. If you would like transport to and from Cedars, please phone the church office on 01435 864646.

Sunday Lunch
Next  Sunday the Pastoral team will be doing lunch for anyone
on their own. If you are on your own on that day for whatever
reason, you would be more than welcome to join with us.
There are no age limits. If you would like to come, please let
Sue Lade or Maureen Saunders know for catering purposes.

Take-Off changes
As from today the Take-Off age range is changing. Year 3’s will go to Gap Junior and so we are now taking in younger children from age 3 (i.e after a child’s third birthday). If your child is age 3, 4 or in reception, year 1 or year 2 we would love them to join us in Take-Off.  Rachel Barton.

Churches Together in Heathfield - ‘Prepare the way of the Lord’
A time for Christians in Heathfield to come together in UNITED PRAYER for our town with a PRAYER SUPPER which includes a 3 course Indian meal at the

Heathfield Community Centre on Sunday 23rd September
at 6.15 pm for 6.30 pm through to 8.30 pm.

Led by Canon Paul Cox and Rev Mark Welch - with special focus on the Heathfield Street Pastors initiative and the HOPE 08 programme in 2008.

Photos in the Foyer
Many of the photos of members and friends on the board in the foyer need replacing and it is very difficult for Arnold to get people to let him take a new picture. Please could you let him have a copy of your preferred photo. You can either email it to him or if you prefer give him a reasonable print so that he can scan it and add it to the photo files.  Thank you.

Prayer
Do you have a passion for intercession and a heart to see prayer change nations, towns and the street where you live? Then join us in the fourth watch of the night in the church at 5 am on September 13th. Subsequent meetings will be on the first Thursday of the month.  Sharon Martin & Angie Carter.

National & Worldwide Prayer Needs Please pray for the following:-
Rescue teams have resumed their search for record-breaking US adventurer and pilot Steve Fossett, who has gone missing in the Nevada desert. Please pray for his safe return to his family.The death toll from Hurricane Felix has risen to at least 21 people, with more
than 200 missing, authorities in Nicaragua have said, Please pray for those who have lost their homes and loved ones.

A teenage girl who killed her sister with a carving knife has told a court she “just wanted to scare her”. She stabbed her at their home in the Ovenden area of
Halifax, West Yorkshire, on 26th March. Please pray for this girl and her family as they try and put their lives back together.
