The Evolution of a Creationist

The issue of creation verses evolution has been a debating point since Charles Darwin proposed the theory of evolution. However that is the problem - evolution is just a theory despite the majority of the scientific community presenting it as fact.

On the one hand we have the Christian view that the world was created by God in seven days and it is now about 4/5000 years old. This view which has recently been gaining some ascendency in the US is also known as Creationism which is not necesarily the same thing. Creationists believe that the world was created by a greater being although most of them do not necessarily subscribe that creater to be God although the Christian would profess otherwise.

The reason why evolution, despite being presented as fact, reamins a theory is that no proof has been found to support it. There are no missing links, no bones and no mysterious creatures to support it. Indeed when some new discovcery is calimed to be found the scientific community simply make up the new theories to describe the evolutionary process and many people have been fooled into beleiving this theory even some of our most famous names and scientists.

The problem with this theory as it provides a convenient excuse. If you cannot accept evolution it follows that you must accept devine creation but most people cannot accept that as it wouild force them to acknowledge God and there own shortcomings. They choose to beleive the lie rather than the truth that would set them free.
