Sunday 22nd August - Jubilee Open Day at Ashburnham
Ashburnham are opening the grounds for families, churches, friends etc to
come and have a picnic, enjoy the grounds and a service at 4 pm. Its for the
50th anniversary of the trust. Everyone welcome.

Men’s Guest Breakfast - Saturday 4th September at 8.30 am
at Dale Hill Golf Club in Ticehurst. Following breakfast, David Fortune will be
the speaker. He is an ex gambler living in S E London and is shortly to take up a
full time position as a prison worker. Tickets are available from Peter Robinson
at £10 a head and tickets are available up to the 30th August. For anymore

Churches Together Children’s party - Following a good first meeting
for the churches together children’s party in October, we are now asking if
there are any volunteers that would be willing to lend a hand in a variety of
ways.
People are needed to do the following, welcome on the door, cook and serve hot
dogs, arrange craft tables, games and other activities, general set up and tidy
up, to mention a few. If you are able to help, please contact Chris or Sue. If you
are interested in coming to the next meeting or would like to find out more, we
will be meeting on Monday 26th July at the King’s Church at 7.30 pm and you
would be most welcome. Chris Roche

Ladies Coffee Morning Group - This group will officially start on Friday
10th September with a day trip out. We will leave Heathfield about 9
am & visit The Church of the English Martyrs at Goring by Sea in West Sussex
to see the only known reproduction of the Sistine Chapel Ceiling in the world.
We will then have a picnic lunch by the river at Arundel and then will have some
time to wander around Arundel before returning home about 5 pm. If any ladies
would like to join us, please can you let either Jo B, Sue or Adele know as soon
as possible as we need to arrange transport. This group will meet fortnightly in
the church lounge on a Friday morning from 10.30 am until 12 noon, unless
otherwise told and we do hope that as many ladies as possible will join us.

Street Pastors Course - 15th September & 20th October
at St George’s Church, Broad Oak, Heathfield at 7.30 pm.
Church response to neighbourhood problems, engaging with people on the
streets and in night-time venues to care, listen, dialogue and offer practical
help. Led by Ruth Waller - Street Pastor Co-ordinator. Cost £10.00
