Churches Together in Heathfield Churches together in Heathfield (CTH) consists of members of the local clergy and churches who come together for worship and social activities and to offer help to the community if and when it is needed. There is an evening service several times a year at a different church and members are invited to come together in each others' churches for this purpose. Additionally there is a dinner at the Prince of Wales pub in Heathfield, every three months to which everyone is invited, not just CTH members. The membership is represented by a committee which meets regularly and a member of each participating church sits on this committee. Each year on Good Friday there is a Walk of Witness where a cross is carried along Heathfield High Street which concludes with a service at the Union Church. Every year a Christmas card is designed by one of the local schools and this is used to advertise all the local Christmas services and is distributed by each church in their catchment area. At the end of each school year, all Year 6 children at local schools are given a book entitled 'It makes you move' by CTH. This deals with the move to secondary school or the local community college and covers such things as making new friends, bullying and tries to answer the typical types of question posed by children at this time in their lives.
